Just for you romantics out there this holiday season, this was my card to my lady. Pencil sketched first, then shoto-phopped after. Aaah... Right I'm off for another 6 months of laziness - later (MUCH later!) people.
Yup!...someone's been a lazee-boy. A few sketchy, sometime unfinished bits of fancy follow, just to try & make it appear that I'm properly 'on it',when truly, I isn't!! First up, girl bones.
This was an alternate header for this here blog...but kinda wasn't finished, but then I looked back on it & kinda (kinda...) liked the 'un-finished-iness' of it, sorta....kinda thing. An' if you can follow the line, (like "The Circle..") it IS unbroken. 1 line throughout....apart from the stars n crosses in th' banner that is!
Have been a trifle tardy, haven't I?? Not posted for a while...AGAIN!...so here's a few different greeting cards I did for various events & various people at various times... Pretty much all done 'electronically' - a la Photoshop. Some stuff hand drawn within the programme, some souced imagery & utilising the wonderful "DaFont" website for font sources. And did the recipients appreciate all the effort??..huh?...did they??? Well...yeah, I s'pose for the most part they did, so what am I whinging about??
Just dug these out...Original size is roughly 22cm X 11.5 cm. You can see from the dates when they were drawn. Edding profipens & Pilot drawing pens on regular cartridge paper. Drawn just for fun, but made it to a small exhibition of humorous drawings with 'puns'. I called them stupid things like; "Hole In Juan" (Ee)..."Dead Ringer" (Aa) "Wrinklie's Chewing Gums" (Uu). Can't for the life of me remember what I called the 'Boing Brain' guy...Also can't think why I didn't do one with the vowel 'I'??? Ah well...enjoy.
Not the cleverest title for these boys....sort of A-Team ish, but made of fried fancies!! Chalk pastels done a number of years ago for fun... "Hot Dog" Weener - the kick-ass brawler, Prof. Back Gammon - the brains of the outfit and - coming soon - "Sonny" Side-Up - the lovable dumbo of the outfit. "Sonny" was given as a present some time ago, so I gotta wait while my pal sends me a good pic to complete the line-up.
I do so much stuff for friends & family (mostly birthday / event cards etc) that i don't always know what they end up being for!! This was a favour for my nephew, some 6 years ago - never used as far as I know... Think I sketched the idea roughly first in pencil, then drew it all up in Photoshop. I was trying something new with the contrasting outlines to each bit of colour, just to see if I could make it work.
OK, so Cranky started life in early 2009 as a biro doodle, then scanned & photoshop colour added...now he lives here! There was going to be a series of 3 or 4, but I couldn't find any more appropriate Shakespearian quotes!! Oh well...
